(Huge merci à Marie-Pierre et Oliver pour inventer le mot en français!!)

The Époustifailles/Espoustival will be a celebratory gathering at one of the most beautiful locations of Central America, Lago Petén-Itza. It will, by no means, be a traditional wedding.
Fantastic people -- friend and family -- will converge on the shore of the lake to celebrate our love, eat great food, dance, drink great drinks, and generally enjoy life with us.
This celebration of love will be an adventurous foray into the world of the Maya, which, to be honest, is our matrix.
So, please come and join us to get to visit one of our special places, know us better, see things from our perspective, and meet a lot of amazing people!

The Weekend in Nutshell

The events will be centered at 3 hotel/cabañas located in the municipality of El Remate, Petén, which is the literally the gateway to the most legendary of ancient Maya sites, Tikal. El Remate is a touristic small town located on the eastern shore of Lake Petén-Itzá, a large span of water most famous for its Island of Flores, located at 40 minutes from El Remate.

Guests are invited to stay at Hotel Mon Ami and Alice Guesthouse. These hotels are located 1 km from the core of El Remate. See the Accomodations section for more information.

The official events of the Epoustifailles/Espoustival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 13th-14th. The ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday (morning/evening of 07/13) at Alice Guesthouse and Hotel Mon Ami. In addition, on Sunday, a post-Époustifailles beach brunch (07/14) will take place at Gringo Perdido, a nearby hotel with a great "Petén-style beach".

Finally, we will organize an optional tour of Tikal for the morning of the Monday (07/14). What comes before and after this long weekend is left to your discretion, but see the Travel Routes section for suggestions.
